NIPIGON — Whether helping local Veterans, supporting seniors, providing youth sports programs, raising funds or volunteering to help those in need, Canada’s Royal Canadian Legions provide many essential services in their communities. Nipigon Legion is just one of many doing just that.
It is hosting an informal social event to introduce their community and region to the Legion. They want everyone to know about the projects it is working on and to hopefully add to its membership, and future volunteer pool.
This event will be held at the Legion Main Hall on May 9, and will run from 7 to 9 p.m.
They shared that they expect to have people from all ages present, as well as members of many organizations in the area, who will be speaking about volunteerism in Nipigon and surrounding area.
