NIPIGON — St. Edward Catholic School celebrated their year-end awards on Monday, June 20 which witnessed the gathering of a school community and families there to celebrate their students.
A special event took place that evening as Lee and Brian Davis from the Nipigon Rotary Club, were present to present the Kindness Award.
The school principal, Betty-Jane Merceir, spoke proudly of her students as she listed them as recipients of this award. She extended congratulations to the following students were the recipients of this award.
“The student winners of this award presented by Lee and Brian Davis on behalf of the Nipigon Rotary Club were: Maribel, Gunner, Jada, Emerson, Leah W., Leah R., Blake, Hunter, Mikey, and Joel,” said Mercier.
The day also featured several other award recipients who received awards from each of the departments of the school, including the Native as a Second Language, French as a Second Language, the Visual Performing Arts, Student Achievement award and the Physical Education award.
Congratulations to each of these students for their accomplishments.
