Northwest Region
- No new fires were confirmed in the Northwest Region by the late afternoon of Aug. 18.
- At the time of this update there are two active fires in the region, both in the Nipigon sector. One fire is under control and one fire is being held.
- The wildland fire hazard is low across the southern half of the Northwest Region. Hazard conditions in the far north are mainly moderate with pockets of high hazard.
