From extreme cold warnings to above-zero temperatures in a single week, the warming trend is expected to continue.

The Superior North region should enjoy some nice weather for the next little while.

Environment Canada meteorologist Steven Flisfeder said Northern Ontario will continue to see zero-degree temperatures over the next several days.

“So, if you hate the cold, it’s your time to shine,” Flisfeder said.

Flisfeder said that there will be a chance of flurries beginning late Thursday into Friday, but there is not expected to be significant snowfall.

For the weekend, the temperature will begin to fall around the normal temperature mark, which is around -7 C for the daytime high.

Looking forward, Flisfeder said the rest of February should bring above-normal temperatures overall.

“It’s good news if you are a winter hater. It’s bad news if you are a winter lover,” Flisfeder said.
