Northwest Region Forest Fire Season coming to an end

NORTHWEST REGION—The Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services, (AFFES) update reports no new fires were confirmed in the Northwest Region by the late afternoon of Sept. 22, 2022.

At the time of this update there are two active fires burning in the region. Both fires are being observed.

The wild land fire hazard is mainly low across the Northwest Region.

In addition, AFFES reports that, the Northwest region forest fire situation update will now be issued twice weekly, Mondays and Thursday, until the conclusion of the fire season which is Oct. 31, 2022.
