MARATHON — Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed that one person died after a collision involving an all-terrain vehicle Monday morning.
Police did not identify the deceased in a brief announcement Tuesday morning, but local sources have said the victim of the tragic accident was a young man.
The single-vehicle collision happened shortly before 9:00 a.m. on Highway 627, east of Marathon.
The road was closed for an extended period, and was fully reopened Monday just after 5:00 p.m.
Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team and collision reconstructionists are assisting in the ongoing investigation.
