Ontario Federation of School Athletics prize packs up for grabs

Winter sports athletes have continued to maintain a high level of athleticism and dedication to their sport, especially with the challenges of a pandemic. Nipigon-Red Rock high school wants to recognize their efforts.

NIPIGON-RED ROCK — Nipigon-Red Rock High School is giving their girl's volleyball team and their boy's basketball team a chance to win a prize.

With all the challenges of COVID-19 restrictions making it seem like an extra-long winter and without the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Association tournaments, and finishes on the court as well as “gutsy performances on the snow and ice as well as celebrating emotional medal ceremonies with teammates and coaches”.

Winter sports became the focus and as a reward for the student’s dedication to school sports, they are asking only student-athletes from any of the 2022 winter sports teams to try their luck at winning an OFSAA prize pack.

To be eligible in the draw, student-athletes in the winter sports are asked to take a minute and fill out a short form and remember to fill in the area which requires your coach's email address. 

One entry per person is allowed with the deadline to enter being March 19.

The school promises to “take it from there and be in touch with the 50 random winners.
