WAWA — Provincial police will be closing its Broadway Avenue offices in Wawa at the end of the week.
The OPP said the offices at 40 Broadway Avenue will officially close on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m., but the highway detachment at 34 Pinewood Drive will remain open.
These changes are being made to increase the efficiency of police operations in Wawa and throughout the service area," police said in a news release. "Frontline policing and emergency response will not be impacted by this closure. Public safety remains the OPP's top priority and officers will continue to serve the Superior East communities with pride and professionalism."
