GERALDTON, ON — Members of the Greenstone detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the sudden death of a child.
Officers and Superior North EMS paramedics responded Monday to a report of an unresponsive infant at a residence in Long Lake #58 First Nation.
Despite lifesaving efforts, the child was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem is scheduled for later this week to help determine cause of death.
The investigation by the OPP including its Forensic Identification Services continues, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario.
