GREENSTONE — Provincial police are investigating a death in Greenstone.
Officers responded to a call on Thursday morning at approximately 12:45 a.m. for a medical emergency.
One individual was transported to the hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted at the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service in Toronto.
The OPP states it is investigating the death, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the OFPS.
While police are investigating the circumstances around the death under the direction of the criminal investigation branch. However an OPP spokesperson told Newswatch they could not whether the death is considered suspicious and said it is still early in the investigation.
Police said they will be providing updates as more information becomes available.
Police are asking anyone with information relevant to the investigation to contact the OPP or Ontario Crime Stoppers, where they may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
