OPP investigating theft of stolen equipment from service vehicle

GREENSTONE — Provincial police are investigating a report of a stolen surveying device that may have occurred between the evening hours of Sunday and the early morning hours of Monday.

The Greenstone OPP Detachment said the theft took place outside a motel on the corner of Main Street and Second Avenue South-East in Geraldton.

The stolen device is described as a large yellow box with blue writing on the top with the word "Trimble" and valued between $45,000 to $60,000.

Trimble Inc. is an American software, hardware, and services technology company whose products are used in building & construction, agriculture, geospatial, natural resources and utilities, governments, transportation and others. 

OPP said the investigation is ongoing.
