A regional traffic blitz over the weekend across the region resulted in over 1,000 charges.
Provincial police conducted a four-day enforcement campaign during the Easter weekend, which resulted in hundreds of speeding charges and seatbelt offences.
Police said 616 speeding charges were laid, along with one stunt driving charge. Eight impaired driving charges were issued, as well as 14 distracted driving charges. There were 120 seatbelt charges laid against drivers and passengers.
The initiative was part of a province-wide seatbelt campaign that ran from April 7-10.
