OPP lay charges for stunt driving on Highway 17

MARATHON — OPP have nabbed another motorist for stunt driving on Highway 17 north of Lake Superior.

Officers with the Marathon detachment tracked a pickup truck travelling at 144 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on Sunday.

A 46-year-old resident of Steinbach, Manitoba was given an automatic 30-day licence suspension and lost the use of the vehicle for 14 days while it's impounded.

The person will answer to stunt driving charges in court, and face additional penalties if there's a conviction.
