A 34-year-old from Nipigon has been charged with impaired driving.
In a Tuesday news release, provincial police said OPP and the Lake Helen Police Service responded to a traffic complaint in Red Rock at about 3 a.m. on Dec. 30, 2022.
Officers found the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver was charged with one count of impaired driving, and is scheduled to appear in a Nipigon court next month,
Across the entire North West region, OPP laid 140 impaired driving charges during the Festive RIDE season, which ran from Nov. 17, 2022 to Jan. 2, 2023.
