NIPIGON, ON — A British citizen's memories of a visit to Canada will no doubt include a brush with the law in Northwestern Ontario.
The Nipigon detachment of the OPP received a tip Monday evening about an erratic driver proceeding west on Highway 17.
Officers subsequently located a vehicle travelling at a speed of 160 kilometres per hour in Corrigal Township east of Nipigon.
After pulling it over they noticed that the driver showed signs of impairment.
As a result. a 27 year old from London, England has been charged with stunt driving and impaired driving.
The individual's driver's licence is subject to a 90-day administrative suspension, and the vehicle has been impounded for 14 days.
