Paramedic sent to hospital following collision

Paramedic suffers non-life threatening injuries following a collision.

MARATHON -- A paramedic was sent to hospital Tuesday following a collision between an ambulance and snowplow.

According to Superior North EMS, a collision occurred Tuesday morning, about 30 kilometres east of Marathon between an ambulance and snowplow.

EMS officials say there was no patient onboard and the injuries to their paramedic were non-life threatening.

The snowplow operator was not injured.

The ambulance was a spare vehicle being taken to Manitouwadge when the collision occurred, it sustained significant damage.
