PASS LAKE, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police say an incident at a residence in the Pass Lake area has been resolved with no injuries.
Early Tuesday afternoon, an individual exited the home voluntarily after the successful intervention of an OPP crisis negotiator.
Officers and paramedics were dispatched to a Portage Drive residence in the early hours of the morning.
A police spokesperson described the situation as a standoff with a barricaded male who had a firearm.
Members of the OPP Emergency Response Team were joined at the scene by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit from Orillia.
Sgt. Mike Golding said calling in the TRU is standard operating procedure for a barricaded person call.
He credited the professionalism of the officers involved in the incident for its peaceful resolution.
