NIPIGON— April is National Poetry month and as part of the events offered during this time frame, Nipigon’s Edge Arts Studio and Gallery is pleased to announce that they are featuring a special guest.
The Township of Nipigon shared that poet Terry Lynn Johnson will be a guest at the Edge Arts Studio on Saturday, April 23, 2022, between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. During that time, Johnson will be offering poetry readings from her book, and a book signing session.
This year’s National Poetry month’s theme is “Intimacy”. The goal during the month is to encourage parents, guardians, caregivers and educators to set aside time to read poetry to children of all ages and help them explore the benefits that poetry can offer.
Owned and operated by the Township of Nipigon, the Edge Arts Studio and Gallery hosts workshops, classes and drop-in programs for all ages. As a gallery it also features art, crafts and products.
This weekend Nipigon residents can not only enjoy the poetry engagement that Edge Arts Studio and Gallery is offering, but personally experience poetry when they visit with Poet, Terry Lynn Johnson this coming Saturday.
