Public complaint leads to impaired driving charges

GREENSTONE — A public complaint about a vehicle swerving across the road on Highway 584 has led to impaired driving charges.

Provincial police said the Greenstone detachment was notified of the possible erratic driver at about 10 p.m. Saturday.

Officers patrolled the area and found the vehicle. A traffic stop wsa conducted and the driver was arrested.

A 29-year-old from Thunder Bay is charged with two counts of impaired driving.

A 90-day licence suspension was issued and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in a Geraldton court next month.
