Rainfall warning in effect for parts of the region

Up to 30 millimetres of rain is expected for some areas.

SUPERIOR NORTH -- Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for parts of the region.

Environment Canada says periods of rain are expected to taper off Thursday morning, however, the frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall.

The rain is expected to change to snow Thursday, therefore, slippery conditions are possible during the transition.

The government weather agency says rainfall totals of 20 to 30 millimetres is expected.

  • Marathon - Schreiber
  • Nipigon - Rossport
  • Wawa - Pukaskwa Park
  • White River - Dubreuilville
