RED ROCK—The Municipality of Red Rock will be conducting its hydrant flushing this week, beginning Sept, 26, 2022.
The community’s Public Works Department advised residents that the hydrant flushing will commence the Red Rock water distribution system beginning Monday, Sept. 26 and ending Friday, Sept. 30.
Residents were explained that flushing is part of their routine maintenance necessary to maintain the integrity of the water system, remove sediment from mains, verify proper operation of hydrants and valves and maintain firefighting capability.
As a result, residents should be aware that they may experience a drop in water pressure and water may be discoloured due to the flushing of the of the distribution system. Should you experience discoloured water, the Public Works department suggests you run your cold water only until the water is clear.
