Red Rock looking for people to serve on municipal committees and boards

The Township of Red Rock extended a call out to residents to submit their name to serve on municipal boards or committees.

RED ROCK—  Red Rock has extended invitations to residents to submit their name to be considered by council to serve on committees or boards for the township.

The Township notice stated that there are several vacancies on boards and committees of council that will run the same length of term as council. Those interested in sitting on one of the township’s boards, or committees, are asked to submit their name to the municipal office, no later than 4 p.m. on Nov. 18. The term for these will run until Nov. 14, 2026.

The following boards are calling for interested residents:

Library Board — The Library Board meets monthly and strives to provide an efficient library service that reflects the community’s unique needs.

Committee of Adjustment — The Committee of Adjustment meets on an as-need basis and is responsible for verdicts of Minor Variance applications in accordance with the Township’s zoning Bylaws.

Property Standards Committee — The Property Standards Committee meets on an as-need basis and is responsible for considering appeals in accordance with procedures established under the Property Standards Bylaw. The Committee considers appeals to Property Standards Orders issued by the Property Standards Officer.
