Summer is definitely a time for enjoying your favourite activity. Your local library wants to make reading a book one of them; so they launched a summer challenge.

NIPIGON—Nipigon Public library in partnership with the Red Rock and Dorion public library, wants everyone to keep reading this summer.

As part of their "Superior Adventure Program", the libraries are encouraging those who do not have a library card to sign up for one. It is free and simple to do, and when you do, you can use the card for their summer challenge.

According to their recent Facebook post, Nipigon public library shared their “July Challenge-Library Cards Outdoor”, a summer program to get everyone to read a favourite book, and to be creative by taking a picture of your library card outdoors.

For this challenge, you’ll need to be outdoors of course, so choose a favourite spot; then take a picture of your Nipigon, Red Rock, and/or Dorion public library card.

Your library wants you to be creative with the pictures that you take, and submit them, and you'll be entered to win prizes.

Photos can be submitted by going to: : [email protected]

Random winners will be chosen the first week of August.

Other activities planned by Nipigon public library, includes the WINSOME book club, running July 21. That day will be spent discussing a Northern Ontario book of your choice; and Aug. 13, 2022, which is their "Blueberry craft" day.
