HORNEPAYNE: The Municipality of Hornepayne asks you to hold on to those hazardous waste items for when you will be able to dispose of them during their Hazardous Waste Collection Day.
This event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Hornepayne Community Arena parking lot, 1 Tower Rd.
The municipality also wants to remind residents of some helpful safety hints when dealing with hazardous waste. These tips include reminders such as:
- Do not mix materials.
- Materials will not be accepted unless clearly marked.
- If the container is damaged, package the container in a plastic bag in order not to spill it during the journey to the collection site.
- Wash your hands thoroughly after handling the chemicals.
