SCHREIBER—Schreiber residents have been asking for this special tournament to be brought back and after a year of waiting, they can now register to participate in the Bocce Ball Tournament, once again.
Registration is now open for all residents interested in participating in the Bocce Ball Tournament. With only 32 teams allowed to enter, everyone is encouraged to register early.
Adults 18 years of age and older can organize teams of two, and register their team at the Municipal Office. Put on by the municipality’s Recreation Committee, and sponsored by the Schreiber Senior Centre, they inform interested participants that registration can also be done on the day of the event.
The Schreiber Senior Centre BBQ crew will also be there that day, with a beer garden, and spectators of all ages are encouraged to come out and watch.
The Bocce Ball Tournament is scheduled to take place Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Schreiber Ball Field, with check-in at 3:00 p.m. and the tournament to start at 4:00 p.m.
