The search continues for two missing men after their plane disappeared approximately 60 kilometres north of the Sault last Thursday.
According to the Trenton Joint Rescue Coordination Centre’s Twitter page, search and rescue aircraft were delayed launching Tuesday due to poor weather and aircraft icing overnight.
An RCAF CP140 Aurora Long Range Patrol aircraft has joined the search for the missing plane. This particular aircraft is equipped with advanced sensors and cameras to aid in the search efforts.
JRCC Trenton is requesting that if anyone sighted an aircraft flying along Highway 17 from Wawa south to Sault Ste. Marie on April 14 around 6 p.m. to contact the Search Headquarters at 613-966-1178.
