THUNDER BAY — Collisions and poor driving conditions affected travel on multiple stretches of the Trans-Canada Highway in Northwestern Ontario on Wednesday.
According to Ontario511, Highway 11 remained closed from Nipigon to Hearst as of 11:15 a.m.
Highway 17 had also been closed, from Nipigon to White River. Via Twitter, Ontario511 reported just before 11 a.m. that the Nipigon to Schreiber section was reopened.
The remaining section to White River was also open to traffic again.
Motorists are advised to check with Ontario511 for updates throughout the day.
