Skills Canada Ontario hosting Indigenous College Recruiter Days

Students in Grades 9-12 from Superior Greenstone District School Board are being offered the opportunity to learn about future career aspirations, and which Ontario Colleges will provide them with the needed programs to achieve these.

TERRACE BAY— Superior Greenstone District School Board informed its school community of Indigenous College Recruiter Days.

This event is hosted and presented by Skills Canada Ontario who is hosting seven sessions for their Indigenous College Recruiter Days program.

Sessions will run March 29-31, 2022, and are aimed at Indigenous students in Grades 9-12.  During these sessions students can hear from colleges, institutes and training programs to learn about career resources.

Each day of the scheduled sessions will include speakers and presenters from various institutes, colleges and training programs. On March 29, from 10 -11 a.m. (EST) presenters include: Metis Nations of Ontario, Native Women’s Association and ABBO.  Then, on March 30, also from 10 -11 a.m. (EST), presenters include: Confederation College, Sault College, College Boreal, and Cambrian College. On the final day, March 31, sessions will run at different times during the day as it will feature numerous colleges from within the province, including Fleming College, Centennial College, Niagara College and many more.
