Small business tax tip webinar supports businesses in tourism industry

Tax time is well on its way for this year, with the deadline for filing income tax returns with Revenue Canada soon approaching. In an effort to offer support and information to small businesses, the municipality of Wawa is offering an "Adapt 2022" webinar. This will feature two guest speakers from Canada Revenue Agency.

WAWA—Small businesses in the municipality of Wawa are being provided access to a series of “ADAPT 2022” webinar series.

These series are meant to continue supporting businesses and communities in Northern Ontario’s tourism industry through COVID-19 by providing resources and connections.

A small business tax information webinar is scheduled for March 23, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.; and will feature special guests. Karen Westbrook, liaison officer, Canada Revenue Agency and Shelley Pederson, liaison officer, Canada Revenue Agency, who will cover information dealing with several relevant topics.

This information session, held by Revenue Canada Agency professionals, will cover topics such as an overview of revenue and expense concepts, and general review of the GST/HST.
