TERRACE BAY -- Superior North Catholic District School Board acknowledges the importance of keeping parents and guardians connected with their child’s school.

To that end, they recently provided parents and guardians with a notice on their social media page, reminding them of their communication tool, School Messenger.

SNCDSB stated that, “School Messenger is the tool we use to push out communications to our families. These messages may come in the form of a phone call, email or text message. If your child is registered in a SNCDSB school, then you are already set up to receive emergency messages by phone or email.”

Parents and guardians are asked to take advantage of the Board’s text messaging service, as it sends important information about events, school closings, safety alerts and more.

Added to their notice, SNCDSB requested that, “To ensure all families are able to receive texts, we ask that you please text “Yes” to 978338, even if you have previously done this step. This will ensure that you have given permission for us to test you and that our permissions are up-to-date. Your account is a free and easy way to keep connected.”

Those requiring further information about the School Messenger tool is encouraged to contact their child’s school or visit: www.sncdsb.on.ca
