Snow on the way for White River, Wawa area

WHITE RIVER – Those travelling in the White River – Dubreuilville, Wawa – Pukaskwa Park area Friday should exercise caution due to snowfall that could fall heavily at times, warns Environment Canada.

The weather agency declared that a winter storm is expected Sunday afternoon through Monday evening.

Total snow fall amounts of 10 to 25 centimetres are expected along with strong winds with gusts of 60 to 70 kilometres an hour, risk of freezing rain for some areas and heavy rain.
Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather.

If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
