Special weather statement has been issued for parts of the region

SUPERIOR NORTH -- Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for parts of the region, warning of a snowfall.

A special weather statement Tuesday morning says snowfall is expected to start Wednesday afternoon, with total snowfall amounts of seven to 20 centimetres.

 A low pressure system will affect the area from Wednesday into Thursday. Snow, which could be heavy at times is expected with this system.

Temperatures are expected to be near 0C,which may allow rain to mix in with the snow on Wednesday before transitioning to snow Wednesday night.

  • Nakina - Aroland - Pagwa
  • Geraldton - Longlac - Carama
  • Marathon - Schreiber
  • Nipigon - Rossport
  • Wawa - Pukaskwa Park
  • White River - Dubreuilville
  • Beardmore - Jellicoe - Macdiarmid
  • Gull Bay - Black Sturgeon Lake
