Christmas Food Hampers

NIPIGON -- The Superior North Catholic District School Board was happy to announce that 10 hampers were collected by St. Edward Catholic School in Nipigon.

The staff and students collected non-perishable food items and monetary donations during the month of December so that they could create these food hampers for local families in need.

The school was able to put together 10 food hampers that the Children’s Aid Society could deliver to families in need.

The Board offered special thanks to Susan Lemieux, administrative assistant, for organizing the event along with Doug Kashak.

Roman-Mercier, principal at St. Edward Catholic School, offered his thanks to families, staff and students that donated food items or money so that we could provide a full turkey dinner for families as well as a breakfast.

He extended his appreciation to student helpers- Mikey, Daylen and Madelyn, for sorting and organizing all of the items, so they would be ready for delivery.

The families, students, and staff at St. Edward Catholic School showed great Christmas spirit and caring for those in need in their community.
