NIPIGON – Clowes has a Master of Education Degree in Knowledge Networks and Digital Innovation from Charles Sturt University and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University.
In addition, Clowes’s qualifications include a Special Education and Mathematics Specialist and have completed all requirements for her principal’s qualifications.
Clowes will have system portfolio responsibilities connected to technology and pathway planning.
Beginning her career with Superior North Catholic District School Board in 2017, Clowes has been working at the system level as the Technology Enabled Learning Teacher contact for Superior North Catholic District School Board.
Supporting all students and educators under the strategic priorities of Focus on the Future and Academic Excellence, Clowes has a passion for engaging in 21st century learning competencies through technology.
She also currently sits as chair of the Superior North Catholic District School Board system Ed Tech Team.
Sarah believes in a “strengths-based approach” to learning and is committed to helping all students to pursue their interests and goals through individualized pathway planning.
She is passionate about supporting experiential learning and fostering a curiosity about learning, providing students with rich, real-world, hands-on learning experiences.
Clowes is excited and eager to serve the students, staff and Nipigon community through her new role at St. Edward Catholic School in the fall.
She is looking forward to being an active and caring member of the dynamic school community, fostering a school environment of equity and inclusivity.
