Stunt driver clocked at 153 kilometres an hour

Police arrested a New Brunswick driver after an incident on Highway 11 near Greenstone.

GREENSTONE – Ontario Provincial Police have charged a New Brunswick driver with stunt driving, after they were caught doing 153 kilometres an hour in a 90-kilometre zone.

According to a release issued by police on Friday, police spotted the driver travelling at excessive speed just before 9 p.m. on June 24 on Highway 11 in Greenstone.

As a result, the driver, who was not identified by police, had their licence suspended for 30 days and their vehicle was impounded for two weeks.

The driver was charged with:

  • Adult Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform stunt - Excessive speed.
  • Adult Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
  • Adult Drive motor vehicle, no permit

The driver will be in court on Aug. 12.
