WAWA – While out on patrol on the evening of January 8, officers with the OPP spotted a driver who they say was driving erratically.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Mission Road, according to the OPP.

The OPP said that during their investigation they determined that the driver had consumed alcoholic beverages.

As a result, a 25-year-old from Timmins was arrested and charged with impaired driving with a blood-alcohol concentration of 80 plus.

The accused was issued a 90-day administrative drivers licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The driver was also released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court on February 12.
