Superior Greenstone District School Board extends cancellation of community use of schools

GREENSTONE -- Superior-Greenstone District School Board is extending the closure of Community Use of Schools.

The township of Greenstone’s Superior District School Board indicated to all community groups on Jan. 11, 2022, who use their schools for events and programs will not be able to do so. It is extending the cancellation of community use of school permits until March 2022.

The board also added that it will be re-evaluating the community’s use of school program needs and will provide a “program status update at that time based on the direction of the province, school board and the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

All community groups and residents were encouraged to read the formal announcement provided by the board on their Facebook page.

Dear Community User Group,

At this time, Superior-Greenstone District School Board is extending the closure of Community Use of Schools until March 2022. All user groups will be informed of the status of reopening after a review at the end of February.
