Superior Greenstone District School Board launches automated attendance system

Superior-Greenstone District School Board, (SGDSB) launched its automated attendance system, an important part of student success.

TERRACE BAY—On October 17, Superior-Greenstone District School Board, (SGDSB) launched its automated attendance system.

In their notice to students, families, parents and guardians, SGDSB indicated that they will again be using what is known as their School Messenger automated attendance call system for all their High Schools.

In their view, this system is an importance part of their students’ success and thus encourage each of their families to be a part of the “attendance conversation”.

SGDSB explained the way in which this system works. “If a student has missed a class throughout the day, the parent/guardian will receive an automated call informing them of this missed class.”
