TERRACE BAY—Student and staff from Superior Greenstone District School Board came together on April 13, 2022, to experience what being a Pastry Chef would be like.
One hundred sixty-eight students and staff participated in this event. Described as an experiential learning opportunity, the project was delivered virtually by Skills Ontario and an industry professional. The activity provided students with the opportunity to become familiar with the terminology, career path, and skills involved in being a Pastry Chef, through interactive presentations and hands-on workshop.
Participants were dressed in chef attire, and used industry tools to decorate cookies. Throughout this time, students were engaged and happy to showcase their decorated cookies.
