GREENSTONE -- Superior-Greenstone District School Board began their Welcome Back Tour of their school visits last Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022.
Among a few other members, the Senior Team included their director of education Nicole Morden Cormier, Alex Morton superintendent of business, Will Goodman, superintendent of education and special education, Charles Bishop, superintendent of education, Eric Fredrickson, superintendent of education, and Shye-Anne Bartlett, manager of Indigenous Education.
The tour began the first day of school, with visits to Manitouwadge Public School, Manitouwadge High School and Marathon High where they spent the day reconnecting with students and staff.
Day Two was spent at Margaret Twomey Public School, the SG Board Office, Terrace Bay Public School, Lake Superior High School and Schreiber Public School.
That day also enabled the Senior Team to enjoy lunch at Drifters Restaurant. They shared their appreciation for working with so many caring staff members. “We are so fortunate to work alongside an incredible team of caring people,” shared the Senior Team.
As a result of meetings which the Senior Team attended, the tour continued on day four, when they were able to converse with students, who willingly shared their perspective. Day 4’s visit took them to George O’Neill Public School and Nipigon-Red Rock District High School.
