Superior North Catholic District School Board announces new Technology Enabled Learning Teacher

Superior North Catholic District School Board is pleased to welcome a new Technology Enabled Teacher.

TERRACE BAY—Superior North Catholic District School Board, (SNCDSB) is pleased to welcome Cara Figliomeni in her new role as our Technology Enabled Learning Teacher (TELT) effective November 1, 2022.

According to SNCDSB Oct. 20, news release, Cara is currently working on her Masters of Education Technology Degree through UBC and has a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University.

In addition, she has a number of additional qualifications including Teaching First Nations, Metis and Inuit Children which served her in her most recent role as a Native as a Second Language Teacher and her passion for Indigenous Education, as well as continued development and delivery of educational technology and resources working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and administration over the past 18 years.

SNCDSB shared that, “Beyond her classroom, Cara has supported students in the summer as a summer learning primary teacher over the past two years, as well as supporting second language programming in our Remote Learning Program through the pandemic. She has also worked on Experiential Learning projects fostering innovation and creativity.”

Cara Figliomeni has also stated that she is, “Excited and eager to learn with educators and students in all of our eight schools, and to continue supporting 21st Century Learning.”
