TERRACE BAY—The Township of Terrace Bay is excited and proud to celebrate its 75th anniversary this year.
Over the past few months, the 75th anniversary committee has been busy planning for the August 18-21, 2022 event. They have been working on the scheduling of events, and have continued to update the townships social media and website.
According to the township and the 75th anniversary committee, the goal of these celebrations is to promote community pride. “This event endeavours to instill a sense of pride in commemorating moments past and present while celebrating our bright future as a community.”
The committee has indicated that they plan to provide numerous celebratory events through a number of festivities, entertainment, reunions, and reflections for all current and former residents and visitors.
The township has posted a schedule of planned events as follows:
Day 1 – August 18
Welcome Day – featuring our opening ceremony & retro theme night!
Day 2 – August 19
Lighthouse Festival Day – our popular festival day is back with 3 bands & inflatables for the kids!
Day 3 – August 20
Beach Day – Come join the fun at the Terrace Bay Waterfront Beach Party with DJ music and fireworks!
Day 4 – August 21
Farewell Day – Closing Ceremony at the Terrace Bay Waterfront featuring the burying of the Time Capsule.
