MARATHON – This year North of Superior Healthcare Group's Chief Executive Officer Adam Brown begins his walk at Walkers Lake in Schreiber and will end up at Michael King Hall in Terrace Bay later this afternoon.
“This year we're doing things a little bit different than that of last year. We recognize that there's some hard times in Terrace Bay right now with the mill being down since January and we thought we'd partner with the Harvest Cupboard Food Bank to do some fundraising,” said Brown in an interview with Dougall Media.
All proceeds from the CEO challenge will be split equally between the North of Superior Healthcare Group building fund and the North Shore Harvest Food Cupboard.
Starting at 4 p.m., the two organizations will hold a barbecue at Michael King Hall where NOSH will hold a Health & Wellness Fair and take donations for both organizations.
“Starting at 4 (p.m.), and ending at 7 (p.m.), there's a health fair accompanied by a barbecue so you can eat some unhealthy food and then learn how to take care of it afterwards,” said Brown.
