MARATHON -- A deer feeder recently found on town property has prompted a reminder for Marathon residents.
City officials are reminding residents not to put any feeders out that will feed wild animals and encourage them to stay close to town or come into town.
Feeders such as boxes, plates, bowls or buckets containing food for the wild animals are not allowed, however, the town does not want to deter any bird feeders.
Officials say all feeders found on town property will be removed or destroyed.
