HEARST—The township of Hearst is getting excited about celebrating their official centennial anniversary, this summer.

They called out to the township asking residents to submit photos of volunteers who have offered their time, hard work and talents to their community, over the years.

This they say, may require a little research, but they encourage everyone who can, to do the research and submit these photos.

The theme for this part of their centennial celebration plans is: “For everyone, together.”

The township's official centennial celebrations will be held at the Park of Nations, beginning at 2 p.m. on Aug. 3, 2022.

The Town of Hearst's heritage and growth in all its diversity will mark the last hundred years.

According to the township, “Many fun and entertaining activities with different themed packages that will allow all participants to learn more about the heritage of Hearst, through an artistic and cultural program and all the novelties that will be put in place.”

With planning still in the early stages, the township will be offering updates and announcements, regarding activities and events, as they become available.

Those who have photos should submit them to Maimouna, before July 15, 2022.
