TERRACE BAY—On Nov. 11, the Township of Terrace Bay informed residents of their free sand program. The purpose of this program is to help reduce the risk of slips and falls during the winter season.
The Township has a designated pile of sand for residents to take for free. They ask that residents can help themselves to the pile of sand and to only take one bucket at a time. In that way, sand will be accessible and available to all their neighbours.
The free sand will be located at the Tourist Information parking lot.
