WHITE RIVER—Residents of the Township of White River, were informed of some important dates during which they can place their vote for the upcoming Municipal Election.
The Township’s city clerk, July Roy-Ward posted the official notice on Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, indicating the voting dates.
Roy-Ward’s notice stated that, “Notice is hereby given that voting will be held upon the dates and at the times and places stated in this notice for the purpose of electing the holders of such office”:
- Municipal Councillors- two to be elected
- Mayor-one to be elected
In addition, the notice stated the advance voting dates as:
- Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022 from 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Office.
- Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022 from 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Office.
The notice reminded residents that, “Regular voting will be held on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, at the Township of White River Municipal Office.”
City Clerk, Roy-Ward concluded by informing residents of the final date for “Proxy Applications” stating that, “The last day for making application to the Clerk for a certificate to vote by proxy is Monday, Oct. 24, 2022.”
