GREENSTONE – OPP Northwest Region reports that officers with the Greenstone OPP Detachment initiated a traffic stop on Main Street after witnessing a traffic violation after midnight on July 19.

During the investigation, police determined the driver was impaired by alcohol.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the detachment where officers found that the individual had a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.

As a result, a 25-year-old from Hannon was charged with impaired driving.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court in August.
