GREENSTONE — Two people face several charges after an investigation into drug trafficking.

Provincial police and the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service executed a search warrant at a Third Avenue Southeast home in Greenstone on Wednesday, leading to the seizure of suspected drugs, cash and items associated with drug trafficking.

Police said suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone and psylocibin were recovered.

Two Greenstone residents — 27-year-old Chad Cyr and 29-year-old Crystel Ogushing — each face multiple counts of drug possession and trafficking charges, as well as possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Both remain in custody and are expected to appear in a Greenstone court at a later date.

The charges have yet to be tested in court.
