Two arrested for drug trafficking

NIPIGON – According to OPP Northwest Region, in the early afternoon of June 25 officers with the Nipigon OPP detachment executed a search warrant at a residence on Harkness Street.

During the investigation, police arrested two individuals and seized suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, and psilocybin. Canadian currency and other items associated with drug trafficking were also found at the scene.

As a result, two 31-year-olds from Nipigon have been arrested and charged with two counts of drug trafficking and possession of money obtained by crime under $5,000.

Both accused have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the court in June and August.
